About the Venue
Concord Sports Centre was the original home of the Sheffield Forgers, the club that would later become the Sheffield Sharks. Based in the north of Sheffield, the venue hosted the team's formative years as they rose through the National Basketball League, winning the Division 2 Championship in 1993 and the Division 1 National Trophy in 1994. It was at Concord that the foundations of Sheffield's professional basketball success were established before the club's move to Ponds Forge & Sheffield Arena and entry into the British Basketball League in 1994.
