About the Venue
The Sheffield Sharks moved into the Canon Medical Arena, officially opened on 5 October 2023. The state-of-the-art venue gave the club a modern home fit for the ambitions of the new era, replacing Ponds Forge as the Sharks' base in Sheffield.
The first competitive game at the arena took place on 8 October 2023, with the Sharks defeating the Newcastle Eagles 86–56 in front of a sell-out crowd.
